Library

  • Monday-Friday from 7:50 a.m. to 2:15 p.m. 

    • Each classroom is scheduled a designated Library hour 1 x week 
    • Library is also open for lunch for students

     

  • Book check-out is open to all Kindergarten through 5th-grade students. 

    Books are due two weeks after they are checked out.

    • Kindergarten students can check out 1 book at a time.
    • 1st through 5th-grade students can check out 2 books at a time. 

Mission

The mission of the Calavera Hills Elementary School Library is to foster the love of reading for pleasure and information by connecting our students, faculty, and administration with the resources, technology, and critical thinking skills they need to inspire learning. We will enrich lives by maintaining a nurturing, safe, fun, and inviting environment for all and strive to meet the needs of our ethnic, cultural, and educational differences to properly serve our school community. We will collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to inspire learning and ensure that we have adequate resources to become lifelong learners.

Vision

The Calavera Hills Elementary School Library's vision is to empower students to be curious, passionate, respectful learners who explore, connect, evaluate, and create.
